The short answer
shopr. is a Toronto-based luxury concierge and Canada proxy shopper.
You send a brief describing the item you want from a Canadian store or boutique. You receive a personal quote within 2–4 hours. You pay in full, and shopr. sources the item, checks it, and ships it to you worldwide with tracking.
Duties and taxes at your destination are payable to your local customs. They are confirmed as an estimate in your quote and are not collected by shopr.

What is a Canada proxy shopper?
A proxy shopper buys on your behalf in a country where you do not live.
That matters when a store does not ship internationally, does not accept your payment method, or carries a Canada-only release or boutique exclusive you cannot buy from home.
Instead of asking a friend or using a forwarding address, you work with a concierge who sources, verifies, and ships the item as one service. For the full explanation, see What Is a Luxury Proxy Buyer? Why Toronto Clients Use One.
shopr. acts as your agent, not as a reseller holding inventory. Every order starts with a brief and ends with a tracked shipment.
How it works
- 1. Send your brief. Describe the item: brand, model, size, colour, and condition (brand new or pre-loved), plus where it should ship. A reference link or photo helps your concierge match the exact item.
- 2. Receive a personal quote within 2–4 hours. Your concierge manually reviews the brief, confirms availability and price (which can vary by source), confirms shipping, and sends a precise quote. The website estimator gives a nonbinding estimate only. The binding quote is the personal quote.
- 3. Pay in full before sourcing. Sourcing begins once payment is confirmed. Payment is by card through a payment link.
- 4. Sourcing and checking. Your concierge purchases the item and checks it against your brief. It is photographed before shipping where requested.
- 5. Shipping with tracking and optional courier insurance. Your order ships with tracking. shopr. recommends adding shipping insurance offered by the courier (DHL, FedEx, or UPS). Your concierge confirms the option and cost in your quote. Cover is provided by the courier, not shopr.

What does it cost?
Your quote is itemised, so you see each part before you pay.
- The item itself, at the retail price your concierge confirms from the source.
- A service fee: buy-for-me is a bundled $89 CAD flat fee for online, in-stock orders with no boutique visit, allocation hunt or authentication hunt. Concierge sourcing for boutique, allocation-only, rare or authenticated pieces is 15% on the first $2,000 of item value, plus 10% above $2,000. There is no minimum fee or separate complexity charge.
- Shipping, estimated in your quote based on destination and speed.
- Duties and taxes at destination, estimated in your quote where possible. These are payable to your local customs on delivery and are not collected by shopr.
No quote is final until your concierge confirms it.
If an item cannot be sourced as described, your concierge will tell you before any purchase is made.
What can you buy through a Canada proxy shopper?
Clients typically ask shopr. for:
- Luxury handbags and accessories
- Boutique exclusives
- Canada-only releases
- Items from Canadian stores that do not ship to their country
If an item is restricted, allocation-only, or genuinely unavailable, your concierge will say so plainly rather than promise what cannot be sourced. For one sought-after example, see How to Buy a Hermès Bag in Toronto Without a Waitlist.
Authenticity, guaranteed
Every item is authenticity guaranteed: if an item is proven inauthentic by a recognized authenticator, you receive a full refund.
Boutique-direct purchases carry boutique-receipt provenance. Secondary-market pieces are third-party authenticated, with the authentication cost passed through at cost and confirmed in your quote.

Returns: checked before you buy, not after
Before any purchase, your concierge checks the merchant's return policy and informs you of it in advance. You know where you stand before you commit.
After purchase, returns are possible only where the merchant or boutique from which the item was purchased allows a return. shopr. processes a return only after the merchant accepts it, and issues the refund only after shopr. has successfully received the merchant's refund.
The service fee is non-refundable after purchase. When a return is actually processed, a flat $100 return-handling fee for your concierge's dedicated in-store return service is deducted from the refund. Separate merchant restocking fees, courier return shipping, and duties or taxes that cannot be recovered may also be deducted.
The return-handling fee applies to returns only and is never charged on a normal purchase. If you cancel before sourcing begins — before shopr. purchases anything on your behalf — you receive a full refund of the amount paid, with no pre-sourcing cancellation fee.
Why buy from Canada?
Toronto's boutiques and Canadian stores carry releases and allocations that are not available everywhere.
A Toronto-based concierge can visit stores in person, confirm stock, and handle the purchase locally rather than relying on a website that may not ship to you. See The 7 Most Exclusive Boutiques in Toronto — And How to Access Them for what that in-person access looks like.
Canadian retail can also offer a route to pieces that are sold out or never stocked in your home market.
